Joe has been a professional cartoonist for over 70 years, and his two sons, Adam and Andy (also top leading comic book artists at DC Comics and Marvel and have done various titles such as Marvel 1602, Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?, Origins, Before Watchmen, Ultimate Ironman, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Fantastic Four, X-Men Vs. Avengers, etc. ) are principals of The Kubert School which is a fully accredited 3-year school in Dover, NJ that specializes in Cartoon-Graphics.

Joe has illustrated numerous comics such as Sgt. Rock, Enemy Ace, Our Army at War, Tales of the Green Beret, and Tarzan, Hawkman, Tor, and Flash as well as graphic novels: Fax from Saravejo, Yossell, Jew Gangster and his recent new graphic novel entitled Dong Xoai, Vietnam, 1965.

The most amazing thing about the man was that when so many other artist work degrades as they age. Mr. Kubert's never did. The man never loss his chops. For a profession as exhausting as making comic art and teaching, that is truly impressive. You will be miss Joe.

I had the opportunity to meet Joe in person this past May at Comicpalooza, he was a nice man to meet. I also have his book on making comic books, I will treasure it for years to come.

He will be missed indeed.

I'm sorry that Mr. Kubert has passed on.

It's amazing he took comics in the direction that he did. Mr. Kubert has left this legacy to his family and students. Amazing work from a legend.
